Content and intellectual property

The photographs, videos, texts, itineraries and design on this site belong to Walking Planets or are used with permission from our partners and the museums we work with. You're welcome to link to us and to share our travel guides; you may not republish our photography, video or itinerary copy commercially without written permission.

External links

We link to museums, restaurants, transport operators and our booking provider. We choose them carefully but we don't control their sites, and we aren't responsible for their content or their own policies.

Privacy policy

We collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and we delete it when we no longer need it. In plain terms:

What we collectName, email, phone and the details you type into a booking or a contact form — dates, group size, dietary notes, accessibility needs. Payment card data never reaches us: it goes straight to our booking provider's payment processor.
WhyTo run the tour you booked, to answer your question, to send your voucher and any change of meeting point, and to comply with Spanish accounting and tourism obligations.
Legal basisPerformance of the contract for bookings, your consent for the newsletter, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the site working.
Who else sees itOur booking and payment provider, the guide assigned to your tour, and — where a ticket requires a name — the museum or basilica you're visiting. Nobody else. We never sell or rent your data.
How longBooking records for as long as tax and accounting law requires; enquiries for up to two years; newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
Your rightsAccess, correction, deletion, portability, restriction and objection — write to tours@walkingplanets.com and we'll act within one month. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).

Photos on tour

Our guides sometimes photograph the group, and we love sharing those. If you'd rather not appear on our site or social channels, tell your guide at the meeting point — no explanation needed, and it changes nothing about your tour.

Booking terms

Bookings are handled through our booking provider. When you complete a booking you receive an instant confirmation and a voucher with the meeting point, the language of your tour and the exact start time.

  • 01Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time, refunded in full. Inside 24 hours we can't refund, because the guide and the venue slot are already committed.
  • 02Late arrival is a no-show. Museums and basilicas give us a strict entry slot, so tours leave on time. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
  • 03Changes are free where the venue allows it. Call or write and a person will move you to another day or language, subject to availability.
  • 04Reduced and free rates need proof. Senior, youth, student and child rates are checked at the meeting point — bring ID, or the difference is payable on the spot.
  • 05If we cancel, you choose. Strikes, closures, extreme weather or anything else on our side: full refund or a free move to another date.
  • 06Behaviour and dress codes. Religious buildings require covered shoulders and legs. Guides may end a tour for anyone putting the group at risk, without refund.

Accessibility, kids and dietary needs

Tell us before you book and we'll tell you honestly whether a tour works for you. Some sites have steps we can't avoid; some food tours can be adapted with notice. We'd rather say "not this one, try that one" than have you spend money on the wrong experience.

Groups, schools and cruise passengers

Group bookings, student programmes and shore excursions run under a separate written agreement, with their own deposit and cancellation schedule. Ask us for a quote and we'll send it in writing.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use as few as we can get away with, and you decide about everything that isn't strictly necessary.
