Discover one of the great icons of Barcelona without setting foot inside the basilica. We start at El Racó — a bar-restaurant three minutes from the temple, where the coffee is warm and the wifi is free — and walk the outside of the Sagrada Família: façades, towers, sculpture and the details Gaudí hid in plain sight.
For an hour and a half, guided only in your chosen language, you read the temple from the street: the Nativity façade, full of life, animals and nature, against the Passion façade, all angles and grief. Your guide is an accredited official guide who will not run out of stories about either.
Then we step back. Plaça de Gaudí and the park in front of the Nativity façade give you the best exterior view of the temple and its reflection in the pond — the photograph everyone comes home with, taken from the right spot at the right time of day.

The group leaves El Racó on time — thirty people don't wait for one. Arriving late counts as a no-show and can't be refunded, so be there 15 minutes early. Good news: nothing here depends on a timed entry slot.
No. This is a panoramic tour of the exterior: façades, park and surrounding streets. Entry tickets and tower access are sold separately by the basilica and sell out weeks ahead — ask us and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth adding on your dates.
Free child rates need a reservation, and babies go free with ID at the meeting point. Children under 6 don't get headphones. Senior and student rates require ID at El Racó.
Normal backpacks and handbags are fine; large luggage isn't allowed inside. Everything is screened at the entrance, which takes time in high season. Pets aren't allowed.
